Being raised in the big, bustling city of Jakarta has made Malinda appreciate the littler, slower things in life. She fell in love with Australia upon moving for her studies in 2014 and has called it her home ever since, now residing in Melbourne.
After completing her Master in Publishing from The University of Sydney in 2017, she worked as an in-house designer and creative producer for Little Steps Publishing where she liaised with author clients and illustrators on the daily. She’s always known that her passion lies in print publication, but that was where she expanded her love to children’s books.
At the moment, she’s exploring the world of magazine publishing as a designer at Universal Media Co. Malinda has worked on Grand Designs Australia, Australian Adventure Bike, Wellbeing Wild, Homespun Knitting, Homespun Crochet, Wellbeing Being, The Useful Garden, Beach & Bayside Homes, and many more.
When not making a mess of her kitchen from cooking and baking, she can be found soaking up the sun at the park or befriending the neighbourhood cats… when they’re not ignoring her.
